WELCOME TO THE WELLINGTON PEUGEOT CAR CLUB
The Wellington club was formed in 1975 as the founding Peugeot club in New Zealand, and continues to have a widespread membership in the lower North and South Island.
The club is for every owner and enthusiast, whether they drive a brand new 3008 or a forty year old 404, whether they live in the cities or in the country, or whether they like to tinker under the bonnet or just drive.
FOR THE MECHANICALLY MINDED
Hover for more infoIf you’re having trouble with your Peugeot, or just like to tinker, there’s a wealth of technical experience to draw on amongst members of the club.
This is freely offered to the home mechanic. Our own technical officers are here to assist with advice and resources, and we periodically hold technical sessions for those wishing to work on their cars.
We have available a range of parts for sale at reduced prices, and a library of tecnical manuals, particularly for classic models. If required, assistance can be offered in locating hard to find parts, and in some centres price concessions on dealer parts and accessories can be obtained.
We’re here to help you get the most from your Pug!
FOR THE ARMCHAIR ENTHUSIAST
Hover for more infoOur magazine PEUGEOT Torque is produced quarterly and we try and make this one of the better motoring club magazines in New Zealand.
It contains news and information from within New Zealand and overseas on the latest (and older) models from Peugeot.
Regular flyers keep members up to date with the forthcoming club programme, headline news, and cars for sale.
Members can also access the forum and for sale section, under development, on our website.
FOR THE DRIVER
Hover for more infoThough the club is not motorsport based, events are nevertheless held to interest the driver-owner, sometimes in association with other similar clubs.
These are mildly competitive and use different types of driving skill, for instance – trials (can you find your way), economy run (how many km/L can you get), gymkhanas (driving round the cones) and for the polisher – the concours d’elegance. As the club is not affiliated to MANZ, you do not need to be a ‘racing driver’ to take part.
FOR THE SOCIALISER
Hover for more infoClub nights and social events are held in the Wellington region regularly. We also organise or attend events as far North as Taumaranui (Bi-Annual Interclub Meet). We also take part in picnics and other social outings and visits.
At these events, members have a chance to chat and discuss their vehicles, visit attractions, watch films, show off their cars, and enjoy meals together.
Many couples are members of our sociable club. You are invited to attend any regular meeting.
